This educational presentation was conducted for parents in the Bay Area public school district by Educational Psychologist, Dr. Helen Y. Sung, to informs parents about the direction of education with Common Core and its relationship to Emotional Intelligence.

Instead of memorization and a result based focus, students are now expected to explain their thinking, creating multiple approaches and perspectives to problem solving, and collaborate with peers.
